Sonny Wynn MA LCMHCA
Therapy Practitioner

Sonny earned a Master’s degree in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and has extensive experience working with diverse age groups and demographics, ranging from children and adolescents to older adults.
Sonny employs an egalitarian and non-judgmental approach to counseling, emphasizing empowerment and self-efficacy. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) serves as a cornerstone of Sonny's treatment methodology, complemented by mindfulness techniques to enhance therapeutic outcomes. He is trained in EMDR and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), which he often utilizes in his sessions to support trauma recovery and emotional regulation.
Sonny’s approach to therapy is highly individualistic, adapting to the unique needs of each client. Recognizing that no two individuals' complaints or narratives are exactly the same, Sonny tailors interventions to support personal growth and mental well-being effectively.
