Restoration & Healing

At Trauma Recovery Collective, we believe that healing is a deeply personal journey. We offer a wide range of wellness interventions designed to support participants in their healing and growth. Every wellness plan is thoughtfully tailored to honor the individual needs, lived experiences, and unique worldviews of each participant. By centering the whole person, we foster a supportive space where participants can cultivate resilience, reconnect with their strengths, and move forward on their path to well-being.

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is a therapeutic approach that helps participants heal from trauma and distressing life experiences. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements, to support the brain in reprocessing traumatic memories. This process helps reduce the emotional charge of past experiences, allowing individuals to gain new insights, relieve distress, and move forward with a greater sense of clarity and empowerment.

Brainspotting

Brainspotting is a therapeutic approach that helps individuals access and process trauma stored in the brain and body. By using fixed eye positions, or "brainspots," the therapist guides the participant to areas of the brain connected to unprocessed memories and emotions. This process allows deep healing by bypassing the thinking mind and accessing the body’s natural ability to release stored trauma. Brainspotting is effective for reducing distress, enhancing performance, and promoting overall emotional well-being.

Embodiment Practices

Embodiment practices in mental health counseling involve using body-centered techniques to support healing, self-awareness, and emotional regulation. These practices help individuals reconnect with physical sensations, emotions, and inner experiences, fostering a deeper mind-body connection. Common embodiment approaches include breathwork, somatic experiencing, therapeutic yoga, and mindfulness. By integrating the body into the therapeutic process, individuals can release stored trauma, build resilience, and cultivate a greater sense of safety, presence, and empowerment.
