Savannah Gilbert M.Ed. LCMHCA
Therapy Practitioner

Savannah Gilbert (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate who holds bachelor's degrees in psychology and sociology from UNC Chapel Hill and a master’s in counseling from NC State University. Savannah has experience working with adolescents and young adults in both K–12 school settings and university environments, where she supported students navigating academic stress, identity development, and systemic barriers to access.
She has a strong foundation in working with individuals in transitional periods and is especially passionate about supporting identity development work. Savannah is particularly interested in working with queer and trans clients, individuals from rural communities, and those exploring questions of identity, belonging, and self-worth.
Savannah practices from an integrative, trauma-informed approach that is collaborative, relational, and rooted in mutual respect—centered on the belief that meaningful healing happens in partnership, not in hierarchy. She emphasizes the mind-body connection and works gently to help clients reconnect with their bodies as sources of insight, safety, and resilience. Savannah has specific training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and incorporates this evidence-based modality to support trauma reprocessing and integration. Drawing from somatic, relational, and strengths-based frameworks, she tailors therapy to each individual’s needs and pace. Savannah believes that effective therapy honors the whole person—mind, body, and identity—within the larger systems they navigate, offering space for both personal healing and collective awareness.
